Q. Why did you start your business?

A. I started the Hearing Wellness Centre because at the time (2006), there weren’t many local independent Audiologists. I wanted to genuinely care for people and their communication needs the way I’d like my Mom and family to be taken care of. Hearing loss runs in my family and seeing the isolation it can cause is heart breaking!! It breaks down relationships and strains social abilities. I wanted and continue to want to ensure people are heard (no pun intended). That we address these needs and make sure that they know that they are important!!

Q. What do you offer (service/product)?

A.We primarily test hearing, diagnosis hearing loss and fit hearing and assistive devices. We also counsel for tinnitus, make custom noise and musician plugs,& we repair and program hearing aids.

Q. What advice would you give to new entrepreneurs?

A. My advice would be to not be afraid to shine!! Take the step and leave your comfort zone!! You will not attain your dream if you don’t go after it!! Being unique isn’t bad, it’s powerful!!
